A LITTLE SOMETHING ABOUT POOJA
Pooja Anita Das is an Indian music composer for popular brands like OLA, ITC, RASNA, HDFC, DABUR etc. Her short film Ek lakdi thi, composed by her was nominated for Dada Saheb Phalke film Festival, 2021 and Shorted film festival 2021. She also worked as an in-house music composer for the Indian OTT platform The Viral Fever. She is an alumni from A.R Rahman's school of music I.e KMMC. Born in a Bengali Family in Kolkata, West Bengal, Pooja was exposed to music at a very early stage. Like every other kid in Bengal she also started taking vocal lessons but soon she realized her inclination towards composing music. At the tender age of 18 she released her debut album, "Zara Hatke" , where all the songs featured on the album were her original compositions. She is classically trained in Hindustani classical music She started off as a singer when she initially shifted Mumbai in 2013. She worked as a background singer for few films. Things slowly started picking up when she got her first project to compose music for an ad film in 2015. Her composition for renowned ads featuring Amitabh Bachchan got her noticed. This was followed by several other television commercials, Web series and short films.
